FivePrime is committed to an active role in community, municipal, and academic programs designed to support the growth of Mission Bay. As the first biotech company in Mission Bay, we are pioneering ways to strengthen academic-corporate collaboration in this leading research center. Together with the JP Morgan Bay Area Equity Fund managers, we are working to enhance the Mission Bay community.
FivePrime currently supports two interns through the SF Works program http://www.sfworks.org/ sponsored by the City of San Francisco. SF Works seeks to place interns in academic and industry settings to gain skills which translate to entry-level jobs in biotech. FivePrime also has a seat on the Mayor's Biotech Advisory Council, supporting San Francisco's effort to draw biotech companies and the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine to San Francisco. |
